Hello, I’m Jolene Dawn Lindsey - a Registered Social Worker (BCCSW #09027; ACSW #16988) who has been honoured to serve the Kamloops community since 2006. My journey into counselling began with a Bachelor of Social Work from Thompson Rivers University and deepened when I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University in 2016. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supervising the next generation of therapists as an Approved Practicum Supervisor for Yorkville University, Thompson Rivers University, Dalhousie University, and Athabasca University. I primarily serve the Thompson-Okanagan region for in person sessions and provide a substantial amount of virtual services across the province of British Columbia. My therapeutic approach is integrative and heart-centered. My clinical practice is strongly guided by evidence-based modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), OEI (Observed and Experiential Integration) trauma treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My heart-centered approach to the work is supported by energy-healing techniques (Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master – levels I, II, III) to connect and integrate mind, body, and spirit. Whether you’re facing grief, trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking more attuned guidance, I tailor each session to meet you where you are, providing compassionate space for you to explore, heal, grow and break through the negative patterning and experiences from you past that are holding you back from yourself. My own life experiences have profoundly shaped my work. After losing my father to suicide when I was seventeen, I became deeply committed to Suicide Prevention + Awareness—both in my clinical practice and through an annual community event here in Kamloops. I believe that with courage, connection, and the right support, we can transform even our darkest chapters into powerful catalysts for hope and resilience. My personal life transitions of being a divorced, single mother of 3 have also lead to increased wisdom in my practice and the creation of my highly regarded and demanded workshop, “I am the One.” The expansion of Jolene Dawn Counselling and Consulting has also been birthed from the desire to support clinicians and business owners seeking similar work/life balance that I worked hard to create for myself, my family and my clients. My authentic approach to the work shines through all I do. My free offerings on social platforms and my podcast are soul and service driven to share healing and resources to everyone, whether they walk into my office or not. My professional approach and comprehensive understanding to the nature of the this business makes me a chosen favorite amongst other health care professionals seeking their own support. This is an honor and privilege I hold to a high standard. I’m humbled to have been recognized by my peers and community in the Best of Kamloops awards earning Gold for “Best Therapist” three years in a row and “Best Clinical Counsellor," two years in a row and a Bronze for co-hosting the podcast IN-TE-GREATNESS with Jason and Jolene. I have also been recognized with Bronze for “Best Entrepreneur over 40" and the Jolene Dawn Wellness Collective has received Gold for "Best Psychology Clinic." My work speaks for itself and the best reward of all is watching my clients and collective following enhance thier lives through my teachings and create a positive ripple effect in their own legacies. If you’re ready to step away from old narratives and begin writing a new story, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. - Jolene Dawn Lindsey, BSW, MSW, RSW Counsellor | Consultant | Mentor | Business CEO | Podcaster | Speaker | Facilitator

Psychotherapist & Clinical Supervisor

📍 Centennial Building

Hi, I’m Andrea—it’s lovely to “meet” you. My work centers on helping individuals and couples heal down to the roots as they reconnect with their true self and build deeper relational security with themselves and others. Being human is messy sometimes, and our experiences can add layers of trauma and stress. You don't have to carry it alone! Areas of Focus & Therapeutic Approach I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship distress, caregiver burnout, PTSD/C-PTSD, addiction, and intergenerational trauma. My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and tailored entirely to you: • For Individuals : I draw from EMDR, OEI, Polyvagal theory, IFS, DBT , and other evidence-based modalities to support you in accessing the best possible version of yourself. • For Couples : I integrate Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment theory, and Gottman Method principles to help restore connection, emotional safety, and stability. A Safe Space for Your Story Clients often describe me as warm, easy to talk to, and grounded. Drawing on personal experiences of complex family trauma—including military and residential school impacts—I hold deep respect for the unspoken stories that individuals and couples carry. A guiding quote by Ann Voskamp is a foundational value in my clinical work “Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces.” When life feels like a roller coaster, I can help you restore a sense of calm amidst the chaos. If this sounds like relief, please reach out to schedule a Meet & Greet so we can get to know each other. If I can't help you personally, I will connect you with a colleague who can. Supervision & Consultation Drawing from 15+ years of clinical experience, I offer clinical supervision and consultation for therapists, social workers, and allied mental health professionals seeking a collaborative, reflective space. Let's connect and see what might be possible for you and your practice!

MA, RCC

Registered Clinical Counsellor

📍 Nicola Building

I’m Tatyana Dikareva, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Canadian Clinical Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). As a trauma-informed counsellor, I’m here to support you on a transformative journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. With a strong background in educational counselling and extensive experience supporting individuals through cultural adjustment, crisis, and settlement, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. As an immigrant from Ukraine who made Kamloops home in 2012, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating a new environment and identity. My personal journey, including the profound grief of losing both parents to cancer in my late twenties, has deeply shaped my approach and strengthened my belief in the human capacity for resilience. In our sessions, we’ll explore your life experiences with compassion, curiosity, and even a touch of playfulness. I believe that while trauma, loss, or negative life experiences may shape our path, they do not define us. Our wounds carry wisdom, and through embracing them, we can reconnect with our authentic selves. Together, we’ll work to mend your relationship with yourself and transform your past into a source of strength and empowerment. You are not alone in this. Let’s walk this path together — gently, bravely, and with intention — as we rediscover the strength and beauty within you.

Wild Sage Counselling

BA, MACP

Counsellor

📍 Tudor Building

Hi, I’m Chelsey Foote, a pre-licensed Clinical Counsellor, and with a practice built around person-centered therapy, I believe you don't have to be in crisis to deserve support, and you don't have to become someone different to feel better. Sometimes healing begins simply by having a place where you can finally be understood. I work with adults who may be carrying the effects of trauma or PTSD, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating grief and loss, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem difficult to manage. I work with people who find themselves caught in patterns of shame, guilt, self-criticism, difficult relationships, or the persistent feeling that they are somehow “too much” or “not enough.” Sometimes you know something isn't working, but you aren't quite sure why. You may understand your patterns intellectually but still find yourself repeating them. You might be exhausted from holding everything together, disconnected from yourself, struggling to trust others, or simply wondering why life feels harder than it seems to be for everyone else. These are the places I want to help you explore, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Rather than applying one approach to everyone, I work with you to understand what is happening beneath the surface and find ways forward that feel meaningful and manageable. I believe our experiences shape us, but they don't have to define us. With the right support, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, loosen the grip of old patterns, and create space for something different. My own journey has shaped the way I understand healing: not as fixing what is wrong with us, but as learning to meet ourselves with more compassion, curiosity, and honesty. You don't have to carry it all alone.

Registered Clinical Counsellor

📍 Nicola Building

Hi, I’m Rachel Gerhardt- a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #23613) with the British Columbia Association for Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC #11245964) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I work alongside individuals and couples to create a space where people feel safe, heard, and understood. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in clinical experience. I believe therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about helping you reconnect with your strengths, make sense of your experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Originally from Manitoba, I grew up in a healthcare family where the importance of balancing and nourishing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health was always emphasized. Finding that balance amidst life’s many demands continues to be something I strive for personally and encourage in my work. As the saying goes, “You cannot pour from an empty cup.” I bring this belief into my counselling practice by supporting clients in setting healthy boundaries so they can live more balanced and fulfilling lives. I come to this profession with many years of education and a wide range of clinical tools in my toolkit, allowing me to tailor therapy to the unique needs of each person I meet. I don’t believe that counselling should be a “one size fits all” approach. In addition to my counselling credentials, I hold a previous Master’s degree in Health Studies that focused on behaviour change, and health program development. This background shapes how I support clients—drawing from evidence-based strategies while remaining flexible and creative in session. In my work, I value a person-centred and trauma-informed perspective. I deeply believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I recognize that clients' are the expert of their own experiences. My goal is to empower individuals to recognize their resiliency and strengths, and to cultivate the skills and confidence needed to face life’s challenges. In sessions, I help clients explore both the present and the past—focusing on what is happening in their life now while also reflecting on early family experiences to uncover the “blueprint” that shaped how they learned to move through the world. This blueprint influences how we communicate, handle conflict, express emotions, and connect with others. By understanding these patterns, we can begin to explore, process, and gently reshape the parts of their story that no longer serve them. Above all, I aim to walk beside clients in their journey of life. My goal is to help clients create meaningful growth and healing as they move toward the version of themself they most want to be. *currently accepting clients on waitlisted basis
